Bella Stunkard
Colleges of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences
Bella, a W. A. Franke Honors College undergraduate, is passionate about working with
marginalized communities to promote educational equity and foster spaces where young
people can express their perspectives. Bella is a Colombian American from Oklahoma interested
in community engagement and US-Mexico binational collaboration.
Bella hopes this internship will allow her to engage directly with Tucson's dynamic arts and
advocacy communities and deepen her understanding of the U.S.-Mexico border region. She
aims to develop practical skills in program coordination, public engagement, and community-
centered research while strengthening her bilingual communication, leadership, and creative
problem-solving experience.
Bella will work at Chicanos por la Causa during the Spring.
