Maria Garcia

College of Fine Arts

Maria spends most of her time creating as many films as she can. Maria has produced
numerous short films across different genres. Working on the La Chamba Podcast Series and as
a freelance photographer has strengthened her communication skills and provided her with
valuable hands-on experience with professional equipment.
Through this internship, Maria hopes to participate in creative projects that make a meaningful
impact on the Hispanic/Latino community. Maria is especially interested in gaining experience
with creative processes and project development, essential skills for her career. Also, she hopes
to learn innovative approaches to help her continue her mission of representing her culture
through storytelling and media.
Maria will work at MOCA, Museum of Contemporary Art Tucson during the Spring.
