Victoria Cortez

Victoria is a first-generation bilingual Mexican American student majoring in Spanish and Film.
Victoria is passionate about connecting the Tucson community to the arts, believing that
everyone should have the opportunity to express themselves in a way that reflects who they
are. Through this internship, Victoria hopes to work on her goal of making the arts accessible to
community members by increasing diversity and representation in art spaces.
Victoria is interested in lending her skills as a language and cultural broker to uplift and give
back to the Tucson community, particularly in support of immigrant families. Victoria hopes to
pursue professional creative endeavors to deepen her engagement with border communities.
Victoria will work at Galeria Mitotera during the Spring.
